Hi all,

I am considering a project mini and i am weighing up various engine specs - A series and others.
I am worried about the bilprovning for an engine conversion and likewise worried about the reliability and everydayness (can it be used every day, in town etc) of a tuned A series
I wondered what specs various members here have?

I have a basically standard SPI 1275 except from a "stage 1" (which is just a shiny k&n filter, maniflow lcb and a sporty exhaust). producing 72 (ish) BHP! The power is reasonable but id love something over 100BHP.

So what do you have?

The swift GTIs are about 100 bhp as standard?

Oh and the vtec i guess you dont have a besiktning for that, and only use it on the track?.
