Well....

In December, i was in my Alfa Romeo 147, I was stopped at a red traffic light, had been for about 10 seconds; before someone crashed into the back of the car (they obviously were not paying attention). They have not admitted that it was their fault. so that's fine.

The Alfa needs to be repaired and the garage will need the car for 7 days.

My insurance company länsförsäkringar, have told me I will not be entitled to a hire car during this time! I find that really strange. Basically they have told me that because I dont 'need' I am not entitled to one. Need a car means, if i work from the car. I use the car to travel malmö - Lund every day but that doesnt count as a need apparently and länsförsäkringar have told me they will pay for my bus ticket. I am real angry!

And advice? I am sure i should be given a rental for the week.


On a separate topic, I was out in the mini on Saturday for the first time since winter.
I was following my mate in his VW bubbla and didn't see a rock which lay in the road until it was too late......


I swerved to miss it but it hit the inside of the back wheel.....

And Craig, Alfas are bad-luck-cars ! One of the eight sparkplugs cracked and a piece fell into the cylinder and made a huge hole in one of the pistons on my 156 TS. Now sold as do-it-yourself...... Don´t ask what I bought instead

No the spare is just a thin 12 inch wheel. So I need a new one from the UK plus a tyre. i have been thinking of some yokohama A048, so maybe get a full set. And hopefully nothing else is wrong with the suspension, hub etc.

No. It´s french and the suspension is fantastic. Why can´t I ever have normal cars?

Looks like the rim took all of the damage. Will keep my fingers crossed! You must have had your share of bad luck now.

Wish I had.... It´s a C5 Break. The Alfa was too small and I need the space. But I would love a DS.....hmmm
