Does anyone have a fibre glass front end fitted?

Do have any problems with bil provning?

I remember seeing a blue mini at a meet last summer with one.

It could be a nice cheap solution after my mini kissed my garage door.

I need a new wing, new front panal and new bonnet costing = 4000 SEK (approx) that all needs to be welded, probably 8 hours labour @ 800 SEK an hour so quite expensive.

A fibre glass front costs 2000 SEK and obviously doesn't need welded but does need a bit of fitting/trimming.

I might get a quote to fix it with steel panals and paint and weld and then take a kontantreglering (is that what its called) from the insurance and fit a fibre glass front, is it OK do do so?

I wouldn´t do that if I had your beautiful mini! Are you sure you need to replace all those panels?

Håller med om att det är synd att slänga på en fiber-front på din bil. Har ingen egen erfarenhet men när man läser på tmf så verkar det som de flesta som gjort det ångrat sig och bytt tillbaka.

En motor huv tyckte jag fanns till salu här på forumet!?

Men visst, har man svårt att göra det själv så springer det snabbt iväg med kostnaden.

Had some trouble finding a verkstad to take on the car in Malmö,

Ditec was the funniest experience I was told "oh you need to take that to BMW they deal with minis" made me laugh.

Eventually i called English car care in loddeköpping to see if they did body work. They have fixed my mini before, but i didn't think about them for body work.

Steve the owner, reckons he can fix the existing panels, (except the bonnet) and then paint the whole front end. Happy days!

So lets see how it turns out!
