Jag är frestad att köpa en mini i England utbudet är stort och jag söker en bil att anpassa till racing
Så en skaplig kaross med lite racingstuk och gärna en motor som har rätt bitar även om den behöver en genomgång.
Finns det någon hake med englandsköp ? Jag tänker då på myndighetsdelen,tull,skatter,papper,intyg ja vad vet jag...inget fn.

De är inte mycket billigare där. Större utbud men också fler sönderskruvade "boys-toys".

Now this is very tempting, the pound is weak against the SEK, minis are cheaper in the UK) probably 40% cheaper); especially for me being British (well Scottish)! But it is not as straight forward as it seems!


If you register it for road use, regulations state that the car cant be modified at all!
This of course comes down to the guy at SBP, i dont think i would take the risk!



Other wise:

- Buy the car, insure it short term in the UK (could be difficult due to having a Swedish driving license)
- When you get to Sweden you apply to Vägverket
- The you need to go to bilprovning! You will need to Change the headlights to LHD, maybe change the fog light over, maybe - Have the headlights wired to always be on, speedomenter must be in Kph
- Couple of days later you receive your number plates.
- Tax and Insure and DRIVE!!!!!!!!!


I have thought of this many times; i thought i would risk it with a modified car but what a disaster it would be if you couldn't get it registered. It wouldn't even work to have it registered as an amateur build!

I am not sure i could live with a RHD car in Sweden, i know you would have trouble selling it in the future.
